We are so grateful for an amazing PTO and volunteers who serve!

As we close out another school year and begin summer break, we want to take a moment to recognize a few PTO heroes who have helped hold our organization and school together for the past several years.

⭐️ Laura Anglea has served on the PTO Board for five years, filling the roles of Treasurer, President, and Vice President.

⭐️ Deborah Woods has dedicated four years of service as our Secretary.

⭐️ Michelle Reeves has spent the last four years serving as our Volunteer Coordinator.

We are incredibly grateful for their leadership, dedication, and heart for F.E. Burleson Elementary. Their impact reaches far beyond meetings, checklists, and event planning. Their years of service have helped create memories, opportunities, and experiences that have left a lasting impression on countless students, staff, and families.

Those of us who serve in PTO often downplay our roles by saying, “We do it for the kids,” or “We’re blessed to have the opportunity.” While both are true, there are also countless hours spent behind the scenes wondering if we’ve thought of everything, hoping the event runs smoothly, the vendors show up, the staff feels appreciated, the families have fun, and the children leave with smiles on their faces.

At its core, PTO exists to support our teachers, encourage our staff, and help create meaningful memories for our students. These women have done exactly that and so much more!

Today, we celebrate Laura, Deborah, and Michelle. Thank you for your years of service, your sacrifices, your leadership, and your love for F.E.B. Your dedication is worthy of recognition, appreciation, and remembrance.

We are so proud of our Outdoor Classroom and Mrs. Halverson! This is a great article about the revitalization and history of our space. Thank you to Mrs. Halverson and our volunteers who worked so hard to make this happen!

The first outdoor classroom for Hartselle City Schools has been recently renovated at F.E. Burleson Elementary School.
