Looks like we could see some strong storms between 10:30 and 11pm tonight. Rain, wind and maybe some hail. Sounds like good sleeping weather!

Here’s the latest. Hope this plays out. If it does this evening might not be as bad.

Heads up, this line in Missouri is getting organized and will pose a severe risk for central IL.

Damaging winds, hail and isolated tornadoes are expected with this as it pushes in. Good news, this line will suppress severe weather this evening with higher chances south of Springfield now.

If you live in the highlighted box, be aware this morning of this incoming line as it moves east.

Here’s the latest update. It may get sketchy during the day today. Stay alert!

Severe weather is underway already this morning in the state. Areas in the southern half are seeing storms moving east-northeast. These are hail producers. These will continue to move east this morning.

Out in Missouri storms are ramping up quickly and these may bring central IL their main severe potential for the day. These will move in after 8AM and bring damaging winds of 60-70MPH and maybe a couple embedded tornadoes to central IL.

Latest trends are pushing the afternoon/evening storms more south, an update is coming.
