On Saturday 9/5 we took our equipment over to our local training lot and did some pump training! It’s getting to be that time of year! The farmers are getting in the fields, Mother Nature doesn’t know when to shut the heat off and things are drying out along the roadways and interstate. Small embers can cause big problems.

We are prepared!

This may be a bit lengthy…

First and foremost thank you to everyone that came out and supported us for our fireman’s dinner on Saturday night during the Hartsburg 155th Celebration. We couldn’t have asked for better weather! It was great seeing everyone enjoying everyone’s company! We enjoyed all the compliments we’ve received over the meal. Noah, Hayden and Zach have this chops down to a science.

We want to thank everyone that came to the First Annual Firehouse Bingo! I think everyone had a good time! I was having a great time calling the games. I especially enjoyed watching the intensity in the kids faces when they were getting close to a Bingo! We hope to do it again. Stay tuned for more details on that!

Lastly we’d like to thank the donors of our raffle prizes. We would like to thank St. Louis Cardinals for the donation of the game tickets, the Chicago White Sox for the autographed baseball and the Chicago Bears for the autographed football. We would also like to thank Daniel Emily Coers for the donation of the Lincoln Park District Pool passes along with the nice beach basket to go along with it. The 32”TV, the Igloo cooler and the car wash kit were all donated by the fire department. We are hoping next year to expand on our raffle. However, this was a great start and we can’t thank the above mentioned enough for their generosity!
