We encourage you give the gift of life. We are partnering with the American Red Cross for an upcoming blood drive on Friday, October 16 from 9 am – 2pm, and your donation can make a life‑changing difference for patients in need. Blood donors — especially those with types O+ & B- blood —are urgently needed to help ensure lifesaving medical care isn't delayed for patients.

As part of the American Red Cross August donor promotion, individuals who donate blood on October 16 will receive a $15 gift card to the donor's choice of one of over 300 merchants.

Looking for a book club where socializing is optional? Join the Hartland Public Library and the Silent Book Club - Lake Country for a Silent Book Club on Saturday, October 17 from 1 to 3 pm! Set up, socialize, and enjoy some provided snacks for the first half hour, then settle in with your book and enjoy quiet reading time. In the last half hour, keep reading or mingle if you want.

Happy International Coffee Day! To celebrate, we have the official 2027 book and drink list for our Readers Rendezvous Book Club! ☕

Readers Rendezvous meets to discuss on the first Monday of the month at Birch & Banyan Coffee. Each book has a themed drink available for purchase, based off the book, created by Birch's wonderful founder, Jessie!
