Geneva County 911 is accepting applications for Full Time 911 Telecommunicators dispatching for Police, Fire & EMS and Answering emergency and non emergency calls.

*****This position requires working night shifts weekend shifts and holidays****

REQUIREMENTS:
* Demonstrate the ability to act and think clearly in emergency or pressure situations
* Possess the skills or abilities necessary to operate radio communications equipment and telephone systems
* Have computer skills and ability to learn Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) programs
* Ability to read a map
* Possess clear oral communications skills
* Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
* Have not been convicted of a felony or other crimes involving moral turpitude
* Valid Driver Licenses
* Be available to work days, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime
* Must be at least 19 Years of age
* Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
* Must pass a pre-employment test
* All new hire employees are subject to a 6 month probationary status
* A background investigation will be conducted on all applicants considered for employment.

Members of the Panama City Beach Police Department met with area law enforcement from 13 agencies in Hartford, Ala., today to discuss Spring Break strategies and intelligence. When law enforcement works together it helps keep all our communities safe.

Those in attendance included representatives from the Hartford Police Department, Geneva Police Department, Dothan Police Department, Marianna Police Department, the Coffee County Sheriff's Office, Geneva County Sheriff's Office, the Houston County Sheriff's Office, the Dale County Sheriff's Office, the Holmes County Sheriff's Office, the Washington County Sheriff's Department, Alabama State Highway Patrol, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency - State Bureau of Investigation and the Alabama Fusion Center.
