Do you remember moving into your first home? The pride you felt arranging your living room the way you wanted, or hosting your family for a home cooked meal?

Mack felt all these things, and more. For him, his home was the start of a new life - one where independence was possible and hope was within reach.

Mercy Housing and My Sisters' Place had the incredible privilege of gathering with close to 50 of our most generous supporters at our second annual Donor Appreciation Reception, held at the picturesque Governor's Residence in Hartford.

Every contribution, at every level, moves us closer to our goal of ending homelessness in Greater Hartford and Middlesex Counties. But the extraordinary generosity of these major donors is truly transformational. Your investment doesn't just fund programs - it changes the lives of the over 6,000 men, women and children we serve every year!

Thanks to the generosity of the State of Connecticut, which allows nonprofits to use the Residence free of charge, we were able to celebrate our major donors' impactful stewardship in a memorable setting.

To all our donors - you are the backbone of everything we do. We are humbled by your trust and inspired by your generosity. Here's to the road ahead - together💙💜

In order to get a job, Mack needed a place to live.

In order to have a place to live, Mack needed a job.

This stressful cycle repeated for years until he found Mercy's Supportive Housing Program. Mack's permanent address and his work ethic got him a steady job - and more. His positive experience in the Supportive Housing Program inspired Mack to apply for Mercy's new Peer Specialist position - and he was hired!

💸 Your employer could be doubling your donation - and you might not even know it.

Payroll deductions are one of the easiest ways to support our organizations, and many employers match contributions up to 100%. That means your $25 gift could become $50. Your $50 could become $100. All at no extra cost to you.

Here's how simple it is:
✅ Contact your HR department
✅ Ask how to set up payroll deduction donations with an employer match
✅ Designate Mercy Housing and/or My Sisters’ Place as your recipient

That's it. A few minutes with HR could literally double your impact.
