Ready to take the first step toward a career in the fire service? The City of Hartford is now accepting applications for the Fire Cadet Program!

✅ Part-Time Position
💲 $19.00 Per Hour
⏰ Maximum 28 Hours Per Week
📍 Must be a bona fide Hartford resident
🪪 Ages 16–24 (Driver’s License or State ID required)

This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience, mentorship, training, and exposure to the fire service while serving the Hartford community.

At the City of Hartford, we love celebrating the incredible individuals who shape the fabric of our community. Hector’s hard work, character, and achievements continue to inspire the next generation of Hartford leaders.

Congratulations to our President and CEO Hector Rivera! Tonight Hector is being inducted to the Weaver High School Hall of Fame, being recognized and celebrated among other honorable weaver alumni.

We congratulate him on this achievement and many years of being an active member of the Hartford community. We would also like to thank his alma mater Weaver High School for recognizing his continued commitment to giving back to the city.
