Donald Trump tried to unlawfully commandeer elections by using the USPS to manipulate and micromanage how we vote. Tonight, the United States Supreme Court sided with states and gave Donald Trump a big no.

This is a huge win for free and fair elections.
Donald Trump has tried over and over again to seize control of this election, to pick and choose who gets to vote and how we cast our ballots.

I have no illusions that this President is done trying to inject chaos and confusion into this election, but we're going to be there at every step to fight to protect voters and our democracy.

I'm joining a bipartisan coalition of attorneys general in opposing the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act. This act will jeopardize our ability to protect investors from rampant digital cryptocurrency fraud and scams.

No one trusts the Trump Administration to protect us from crypto scams —not when Trump himself and his own family are grifting off this same gravy train.

Americans are losing billions of dollars to crypto scams. Congress needs to keep state, federal, civil and criminal law enforcement at full strength to stop these scams.

Today, we filed a lawsuit to stop the Trump administration's new public charge rule. This unlawful rule would allow immigration officials to punish immigrants for use of programs they are legally allowed to access, including health care, food assistance, and even benefits legally accessed to support U.S. citizen family members.

This is a cruel scheme intended to bully immigrant families out of seeking lifesaving assistance. We sued to stop Trump in 2019, and we're returning to court to stop him once again.

The Connecticut Insurance Department has approved double-digit average health insurance rate increase for Anthem, ConnectiCare, and UnitedHealthcare, impacting approximately 220,000 people across our state.

This is another whack to Connecticut families and small businesses trying to stay afloat in a sea of skyrocketing costs. Again, Connecticut families are left to drown in ballooning premiums, deductibles, coinsurances and copays.

This is not on CID—by the time these rate increases hit their review, it's far too late. We need insurers, hospitals, pharmacy benefit managers and every player from top to bottom at the table to earnestly negotiate cost relief way before these rate demands are crafted.

This is completely unsustainable.

l've joined a coalition of attorneys general and two governors in reaching an agreement to stop the Trump administration from dismantling the nation's volunteer service programs again without warning.

Gutting AmeriCorps was a shortsighted, irrational attack on communities across Connecticut and our country's proud, longstanding tradition of giving back. At a time when so many families are struggling to cover basic needs, robbing communities of the volunteers who stock our food pantries, tutor our kids, assist homebound seniors, and support our veterans was beyond cruel.

We sued, we forced Donald Trump to release $184 million in funds, and now we're making him promise never to repeat this brainless move again. And if he violates this agreement, he knows we won't hesitate to sue him —and beat him—again.

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the families who continue to carry that loss.

I went to high school with Todd Isaac, who worked at Cantor Fitzgerald and lost his life on 9/11. Every year, I try to say his name and honor his memory.

Twenty five years may have passed but we continue to remember Todd and every life lost. We stand with the families and loved ones forever changed by that day.
We will never forget.

Today, I joined Senator Blumenthal and Connecticut State Representative Hubert Delany to make it clear that we can no longer ignore the real and present danger of AI.

Researchers and whistleblowers from powerful AI companies are sounding the alarm about the rapidly advancing AI technology, lack of safeguards, and potentially catastrophic risks.

Connecticut is leading a multistate coalition investigation into OpenAI and Senator Blumenthal is pushing legislation for evaluation and oversight of AI systems.

The time to act is now.

Donald Trump is sacrificing entire species for short-term corporate and political gain. The consequences of these reckless and callous rollbacks cannot be fixed in the next election cycle. For half a century, the Endangered Species Act has been an American success story.

We sued and stopped Trump from implementing these rollbacks in his first term, and we're suing again now to save our environment and countless threatened and endangered species from irreversible, permanent harm.
