North Hartford Promise Zone

North Hartford Promise Zone The North Hartford Promise Zone is a federal designation awarded to the neighborhoods of Northeast, Clay Arsenal, and Upper Albany.

On April 28, 2015 the City of Hartford was awarded a Promise Zone designation by the Obama Administration for North Hartford - a 3.11 square-mile area encompassing the Clay Arsenal, Northeast and Upper Albany neighborhoods. The initiative forms a partnership between the federal government and local leaders, in which they work together to advance neighborhood revitalization and create a safe prosperous future for neighborhood residents.
