Connecticut’s Old State House has stood as a beacon for democracy for generations, while the city around it has continued to grow and evolve.
Built in 1796, the Old State House served as one of Connecticut’s state capitols from 𝟏𝟕𝟗𝟔 𝐭𝐨 𝟏𝟖𝟕𝟖, and later as 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟏𝟖𝟕𝟖 𝐭𝐨 𝟏𝟗𝟏𝟓. In 1960, it was designated a National Historic Landmark.
