Mugsy and Beans ask again to leave Mugsy s cousins alone. There is no demand in CT for more rabbits in butcher shops or more butchering of rabbits.

Tell CT DOAG and the General Assembly to not bring this bloody bill to the floor. Notice how the bills title includes the word "harvesting" for animals...an ill concept and ill expression typically used by animal agriculture and hunters as if animals were grown like plants. It minimizes and obscures what is truly going on, which is the killing of sentient life, not the gathering of crops.

Every year it seems the votes are there but it doea not get called. Let s pass this bill and be done w Greyhoind Racing in our state, one of the last very few states to still allow it.

Many thanks to all the advocates as well!!

The rodenticides ban was appearing to be a dead bill due to a fiscal note that got several legislators to raise their eyes. But the environmental protection agency, advocates and chair say, this has been addressed to finally support a good version of the bill. Let's pass this needed ban this year. Environment and wildlife cannot wait. The urgency is there.

Language is agreed to be shifted to a different bill while HB5217 died from a fiscal note that could be critisized in several ways. The bill's language will need an amendment to actually remove any chance for the fiscal note to stay with the language.

Unfortunately the Environment Committee ignored this grave issue and no bills were raised this year to address this calamity.

The process of obtaining the ivory through chopping off elephants' tusks causes "unimaginable suffering" and an "agonizing death," the Humane Society said.

We have more work to do for the voiceless, from pets to wildlife, more protections are needed.

It's been sad when in CT Animal Cruelty cases or dismissed or do not trigger adequate punishment. Glad the judge saw through it in this case.

Hopefully we can figure out this year how to go about ensuring municipal shelters that fail inspections every 6 months get the transformations they need, not only for their guests and clients but for the staff that takes care of them.
The existing mechanism for it is for CT DOAG to reach out to the Attorney General, so his office can warn the municipalities that are not compliant.

Raymond Neuberger was accused of torturing cats, one of which he allegedly doused with bleach, according to police.
