BREAKING: The Supreme Court DECLINED to hear Kim Davis’ challenge to the constitutional protections for marriage equality. Thanks to the hard work of HRC and our partners, marriage equality remains the law of the land through Obergefell v. Hodges and the Respect for Marriage Act.

We won’t let up. We will keep fighting until all of us are free.

Congratulations to the Center Church Congregation on 30 years of being open and affirming! A special thank you to Senior Pastor Liza Arulampalam for leading such a beautiful and positive message driven service and for inviting the City of Hartford Lgbtq+ Commission. Commission Chair Curtis Rodriguez-Porter and Commissioner Dia Baxter, were able to be part of this meaningful celebration.

Today gave hope of the dream that one day, all faiths and churches will be open and affirming, embracing love and acceptance for everyone.

The City of Hartford Lgbtq+ Commission proudly announced the upcoming 30th anniversary celebration of Center Church’s commitment to being an open and affirming ministry for LGBTQIA+ individuals. Located in the heart of downtown Hartford, Center Church has been a welcoming space for three decades.
