For the 4th year in a row, the town of Hartford gave $500 in scholarships to deserving Wahama graduating seniors who are Hartford residents. This year, it was split between two outstanding students. Lauren Fields and Colton Arrington received $250 each.

The town's water problem is fixed! If you don't have water yet, give us an hour or so for the pump to work properly again. The storm knocked it out and that's where the problem started. Thanks again!

We realize that a lot of the town is without water. We do not the the cause of it yet, but we are working on it. As soon as we find out the problem and a possible restoration time, we will post it on here. Thank you for understanding!

Today is my last day as a town council member. I appreciate all the support I have received in my 5 years of serving Hartford. Thank you to everyone that took the time out to vote for me in the previous elections and thank you to everyone that made these past 5 years enjoyable. I think we have accomplished many things in my time here but the thing I am most proud of is starting the Hartford Heritage Scholarship.

2 things before I say goodbye:

Starting tomorrow July 1st, Misty Young and Carol Spencer will be running the Hartford City Water and Sewer page. I don't think it's right that I continue doing it since I will not be a representative of the town.

Second, the first council meeting with the new elected officials will be Thursday, July 20th. Everyone that can, please come out and make the new officials feel welcome.
