Our Story
Community & Family Services, Inc. is a community action agency. This means that we promote the participation of the entire community in the reduction or elimination of poverty. We assess public needs and partner with community members and government officials to provide programs and resources necessary for individuals in need to thrive. In less words, we see the need, look for solutions and help make community connections.
Our programs include: Empower, Energy Assistance Program (EAP), food pantries, Head Start, Huntington House Homeless Shelter, Section 8, Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), Silver Lining, Thrift Store, Weatherization, and Women, Infant & Children (WIC).
Our counties include: Adams, Blackford, Huntington, Jay, Randolph and Wells.
We love having the opportunity to work with these counties to provide access to programs allowing for community improvement. Together, we’re working toward brighter futures for generations to come.
