The 31st Annual Cornishville Fish Fry, presented by the Cornishville Community Committee, will be held here at Station 3 on Saturday, October 3rd.
🚪 Doors open at 6:00 PM
🍽️ Dinner served at 7:00 PM
It's a potluck dinner, so bring a side dish and/or dessert to share. The committee will provide the fish and drinks.

We can finally say it… the busiest part of the pulling season is behind us! 🙌🏼🏁

What an incredible 2026 season it has been so far! This time of year always seems to fly by, and we can hardly believe there are only 6 events left on the schedule. Where did the season go?! 😳

We are so thankful and blessed to have such an amazing TNT team behind the scenes. From the long days and late nights to the countless details that go into making each event happen, it truly takes a TEAM — and we are proud of the team we have!

A huge THANK YOU to all of our pullers, promoters, sponsors, sled operators, volunteers, fair boards, fans, and everyone who continues to support TNT. We obviously couldn’t do what we do without each and every one of you! 💚 Your support, hard work, and dedication are what make this sport and these events possible.

But just because the summer rush is slowing down doesn’t mean we’re slowing down for long… 😉

We’re officially transitioning into the NEXT busy season — the 15th Annual Kentucky Invitational! 🏁🔥

We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us, and we’re already gearing up to make year 15 one to remember!

Good morning, I have a couple of training things to pass along. As always, if you or your station needs assistance with any training items please let me know.

- The new training year started July 1. That also starts the new training hour requirements for FF's (30), Officers (40) and Chiefs (50).
- We had very few members below the training hour requirement last year so I don;t think anyone will have any trouble with the new hours.
- The Fire Commission has changed the way we enter the classes that only they teach. If you take any of the FC0000 classes ( Flashover, wildland, safety and survival etc) online or in person, you will not receive the roster like last year. The instructor for the class will enter the hours for you. It is up to you to double check your Acadis account and make sure the hours were entered. If you let me know that you took the class I will double check it for you too. Any other classes you take online ( not FC0000 classes) will still be sent to me and you should also get a copy. I will enter those as usual.
- HFD is participating in a Hydrofluoric Acid Awareness Training on Thursday August 13, from 1300-1430hrs. This is being held in the Bluegrass Conference room at Corning. Please call or text me or Chief Keebortz (859-265-0990) if you would like to attend with them.
- The inflatable boats have been delivered and are being stored at Sta 4,5 &13. If you have questions or would like to see or train on them please reach out to those stations. These boats will replace the use of Jon Boats in any moving water.
- Extrication is the next county wide drill. That class will be August 29th from 8-12 at Sta. 12. There will be multiple vehicles and will be plenty of work for everybody.
- November will be EMS month. We will have the 24 hour EMT recert class including CPR that month. It will be a combination of online and in person classes. Dates and syllabus will be determined soon.

SPC has upgraded a portion of central Kentucky to Slight Risk (level 2/5) of severe storms for tomorrow afternoon. The primary threat will be straight line wind damage, but a couple of weak tornadoes cannot be ruled out. (map attached with the usual red "X" on Lexington for the geographically challenged)

Looking at forecast soundings, I really don't see a lot of dynamics to support severe weather until tomorrow afternoon. We will likely see multiple waves of scattered storms pass through as the core of the low spins and meanders through Kentucky this weekend, but it's the timeframe during the afternoon tomorrow that we likely will need to pay close attention.

Outdoor plans all day long tomorrow will be risky as these off and on waves of scattered storms spin through the area. It will not be a solid rain all day, but the threat of rain at any time will be with us all day. If you find yourself under one of these scattered storms, you can expect gusty wind and heavy rain for a half hour or so. Stay alert!
