🚨 ‼️ per WTAE these are some upcoming warnings! Be safe and alert if in these affected areas. Call for help if needed and check on your neighbors in case of emergency! 🚨 ‼️

Tornado Warning:

A tornado warning has been issued for the following counties: Beaver County, Lawrence County and Columbiana County.

The warning will stay in place until 5:30 p.m.

Thunderstorm Warning:

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Butler, Lawrence, Mercer and Northwestern Venango County until 6 p.m.

Those areas could expect 60 mph wind gusts and hail.

Thunderstorm Watch:

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for all of Western Pennsylvania until 9 p.m. A line of storms is expected to bring strong winds and heavy downpours beginning at 4 p.m.

Please join us Saturday, July 4th at 9:00 am for the first Gary Hughes Memorial Fun Run! ❤️

My dad, Gary, was such a kind man that loved his community. He loved giving back, getting involved, and doing things that made others happy. Though he was not a runner, he always enjoyed being active and loved helping set up the walking trail. You could also find him treating anyone and everyone to ice cream so in his honor, we will be treating everyone that participated to a free ice cream! 🍦

This is a very casual, all age event. Feel free to run, jog, or walk with us! We will take one lap around the Harrisville Park Walking Trail.

We would love to grow this and eventually create an annual event of it. For this year, let's just keep it simple! Bust out those running (or walking) shoes and we'll see you there! ❤️

Last month we hosted a spaghetti dinner benefiting the Harrisville Community Days Fireworks on July 3rd. We would like to express our appreciation to all of the business members and community members who helped us raise these funds by either donating or stopping by to purchase a dinner! We were able to raise a tremendous amount of money to donate directly to this years fireworks! We could not have done any of this without the support of our community, thank you everybody! Let’s continue to make next months fireworks the biggest and best we can!

Today we want to recognize a few of our members on a HUGE accomplishment! Congratulations to Joshua King and Ashley Wray who successfully completed the Pennsylvania Essentials of Firefighting Course totaling over 120 hours of education.
Today was a tough burn day and you both did extremely well with the hot temperatures and conditions, please help us welcome these two members as new interior firefighters 🔥 Congratulations!! 🎉
The Harrisville Volunteer Fire Company is proud to recognize these members and all of our members for their hard work and dedication to the community and themselves. We appreciate all of the long days and evenings spent away from your lives and families. Each of our members continually train and educate themselves together and individually to keep the community as safe as they can! Thank you!

Yesterday was Day 2 of our hose line advancement training. A lot was done. New techniques learned, hydraulic ventilation discussed and visualized, and new members were acquainted with their gear and SCBAs for the first time!
Learning and reinforcing our skills is our greatest way to maintain our safety and safety of the community. Thank you to our members who pushed through the heat yesterday to practice and improve their skills. And thank you to those who helped make this training a success.
