Thank you soo much for the quick and thorough response today. The house took a horrendous lightning strike. Smoked filled the crawlspace. They found the lightning traveled thru the AC wiring to ground but it smoked some foundation insulation on the way. Thanks again.

As another snow storm approaches, please be safe, and mind full while driving and also downed power lines. Please stay at least 25 ft from downed wires, assume all are live. Please report downed lines to consumers energy. Also please respect and understand a down line is not a 911 emergency unless there is a immediate threat to life or property, with good snow cover or rain perhaps. The woods and trees are not going to burn. As a fire department we respond to check that scene is safe enough to be left for consumers energy to come repair or deenergize. Also when reporting these lines down be nice to the dispatchers who are receiving your call, they are busy people in dispatch.
Please call Alcona Central Dispatch non emergency # 989 724 0911 or consumers if no life or property are in immediate danger. Please check out consumers energy link. Thank you.
