Storm sirens in will be tested at 1 p.m. All tests are weather permitting.

UPDATE: Crews have repaired the outage and all power should now be restored.

The City of Harrisonville, MO is aware of the current power outage effecting the Central and eastern portions of the City. Crews are enroute to repair the issue. We will update you as we get further information.

National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for tomorrow 3/27
for Cass County that includes the City of Harrisonville, MO. Also issued is a Fire Weather Watch for Saturday, March 28th mostly due to extremely dry conditions and elevated winds. Burn Ban in place till 9pm due to High Fire Hazard. The National Weather Service has a Red Flag Warning until 9pm today. Due to elevated winds and low humidity creating any open burning could spread quickly. No open burning allowed till Warning expires. HFD Fire Marshals Office.

HAPPENING NOW: The Missouri Dept. of Conservation, in partnership with the Grand River Watershed Alliance, Harrisonville Fire Department and Parks Department, will conduct a controlled burn of native grasses along the spillway and behind the dog park in City Park.

Roads in the area will be closed. Please do not attempt to drive through the smoke created by this controlled burn.

Controlled burns assist with the development of our native grass areas, allowing for greater flood-plain management.

The 2026 HFD EMT Class is expected to start February 9th, 2026. Tuition is $1,900.00 with a required deposit of $950.00 to save your spot.
