What an amazing 2 years it has been. All of you walked in 2 years ago not knowing what to expect and not sure of what you wanted your future to look like. The growth I was privileged to witness was extraordinary! I have no doubt you will all do great things!

Thank you 2026 seniors for allowing me to be a small part of your life. Thank you for making me laugh and for putting up with my non stop movie quotes, random dance episodes, and for the morning conversations that turned into hour long rabbit holes.

Thank you for making your mark on my program. Thank you for making my program better. Thank you for your love and your trust. I am so blessed to do what I do and it is students like you that keep me coming back.

Now go make good choices, make the world a better place, and of course, Don't Do Drugs!!!!

Today was an amazing day in CJ/CSI!!

JURY SELECTION!

The attorneys for our mock trial on April 24th had to question potential jurors for the trial. Each block had almost 50 jurors to question. Both AM and PM did a fantastic job coming up with questions that would help them narrow down the jury pool to 14 (12+2 alternates).

I am so proud of all of you. What you did today is not easy and you worked so hard!!! Thank you for your dedication and professionalism. Now go enjoy your spring break from the CCC atleast!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS and a NEW YEAR!!!

We had a wonderful day yesterday celebrating in the CJ/CSI class. Both the AM and PM classes had a end of year holiday party. It was so great to see them all celebrating together, eating, laughing and singing.

The AM class created and the CJ/CSI Choir and went caroling around the building! It was so great!

The PM class karaoked the day away. American Idol would have been proud!

It has been a long semester and the students have been amazing. They have earned a much needed break.

I want to wish all of my students past and present a wonderful holiday season. Please be safe, make good choices, make the world a better place, and Don't Do Drugs! ❤️

The school year has begun!!!

We kicked it off with communication drills and team building. We discovered we have some budding artists in the program. It is always so surprising how one person interprets what another says during the "blind draw" exercise!

It is also funny to see what shapes the students make during the "blind string" exercise. I think we redefined some of the geometrical shapes the students learned in Geometry!

These amazing seniors have been here all week!! They have been doing leadership training and getting the room ready! As the leadership team for the 25/26 school year they are ensuring the year starts off right!!!

The last 3 days I had the privilege of attending training at the Johnson County Criminalistics Labratory in Olathe KS. The training covered the areas of: ballistics, serial number restoration, shooting reconstruction, crime scene sketching, photography, ALS (alternate light source), biological evidence identification, and death investigation.

It was a power packed 3 days, but the training was amazing! We were sent home with supply lists, and materials to use in our curriculum. This type of professional development is so critical in order to stay up to date on best practices in the industry.

I cannot thank the staff enough for putting this training on for high school forensic science teachers and for inviting me to come.
