BASIC EMT CLASS

Starting enrollment now. Applications will be accepted through August 08, 2024. Tuition is $1000.00, plus a $150, non-refundable, registration fee, bringing total costs to $1150.00. Tuition covers textbooks and cost of clinical labs. Tuition does not include testing fees for National Registry of EMT examination. Classes will begin August 20, 2024, and will run approximately 4 months. Classes will run 6 PM – 10 PM on Tuesday and Thursday nights, and may include an occasional Saturday. Tuition may be paid in installments. Registration must be paid in total.



EMT – Basic prepares students for a potential career in Emergency Medical Services. The basic certification is a requirement for those pursuing a career as professional firefighter, and is the first required step in becoming a paramedic. This course will prepare the student to provide advanced first aid and emergency care in both casual and extreme environments, teach basic rescue techniques, and prepare the student for providing care in an ambulance, hospital, industrial, disaster, or wilderness environment. Central Cass County FPD is posting a an opening for a Captain's position. Qualified candidates should possess FF 1& 2, EMT or EMTP (EMTP preferred) Fire officer 1, Fire Instructor 1, and experience at a captain level or other leadership experience. Application period will open May 1, 2024, and close May 17, 2024.
