RIP Warrior, Thank you for your service!

Today is a sad day at the Geneseo Police Department. Retired K-9 Kato was laid to rest today. Kato served with Sgt Weisser for 8 years and retired in 2021. Our condolences to the Weisser family.

Join us in extending a big thank you to Police Service K-9 Drago for his service with The Traverse City Police Department for nearly six years. Drago is 8 years old and due to the requirements and demands placed on him, retirement was requested and approved at the February 6, 2023 City Commission meeting.

Since May 3, 2017, Drago has has served alongside his handler Officer Adam Verschaeve, both with distinction. In addition to the retirement request, a request was made to sell canine Drago to Officer Verschaeve for a cost of $1.00 so he can officially join the Verschaeve family!

It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the passing of Holland PD K9 Saro. He served with his Handler Jeremy Schoen faithfully since October of 2014. His passing was sudden and unexpected. Fortunately his family and others handlers were there when Saro passed. Please keep the Schoen family in your thoughts and prayers during this this time of grief. Rest in Peace Warrior.
