A special thank you to the moms who wear the headset.

The moms who miss school programs and sporting events, rearrange holidays and family gatherings around chaotic schedules, and carry the weight of stressful days while still showing up for others in their time of need.
The mom guilt is real, but so is the pride that comes with serving our communities in such an important role. Balancing life as a dispatcher, partner, and mother is no easy task, yet these women do it with strength, compassion, and dedication every single day.
Today, we recognize and appreciate the incredible moms on our team for all they do โ€” both at work and at home. โค๏ธ

URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE...
RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a Red
Flag Warning, which is in effect until 7 PM EDT this evening.

* Winds...Southwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
* Relative Humidity...As low as 20 percent.
* Temperatures...In the mid 70s.
* Impacts...Burn restrictions are likely in effect. For more
information on burn restrictions...visit the Michigan DNR
website at www.michigan.gov/burnpermit or call 866-922-2876.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now or will shortly. The combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

Be careful with any activities that could potentially lead to a
wildfire. Camping...outdoor grills...smoking materials...chain
saws...and all terrain vehicles all have the potential to throw a
spark and ignite a dangerous and destructive fire.

This past Sunday kicked off National Public Safety Telecommunicator's Week! It's a time to recognize the voices behind the scenes.

At Clare County Central Dispatch, it's a small but dedicated team answering every call, every day. While must of the public safety spotlight is shone bright on those responders in the field, every response begins with the 911 Telecommunicator who answers the call. We're a small center but the work is anything but small; and we are honored to work alongside all of our public safety partners.

Our staff was surprised with a "Circus Under the Big Top" decor theme and we will be celebrating our staff with a team dinner later this week. In this profession, you get to know your coworkers extremely well, but it's so rare that we all get to be together at one time, typically only once or twice per year. As their Director, I always look forward to this event and our Dispatch Supervisor also puts her all into making the week memorable. ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’›
