Veterans Freedom Park The mission of the Veterans Freedom Park is to provide a peaceful, serene settting; in which will provide a place to reflect, remember and honor veterans.

We have an opportunity with the Veterans Freedom Park in Central Michigan, which is unique for the entire State of Michigan; located across from the courthouse in Harrison. This park will honor our nation’s heroes past and present. This is our opportunity to give back to them. The final design is located on our website at www.veteransfreedompark.com . This will be a state of the art park with a we

lcome center and an education trail that will surround the park with side areas dedicated just for the war eras. This will help educate our students and the public on the sacrifices that our nation’s heroes gave for our freedom. We will have the ability to seat up to 200 people for events with a permanent staging system and a black granite ‘Wall of Tears’ that will list the names of our casualties of war, from Clare, Gladwin, Isabella and Midland Counties. We hold two big fundraisers a year. The first one is the Friese Freedom 5k run/walk held the last Saturday in April in honor of our most recent casualty of the Iraq war- www.friese5k.com; and the second one is a golf outing to be held each June at various golf courses. There is also a brick paver campaign for those engraved bricks that will be installed into our walk way; throughout this park that will be visible all year round.

Looking for a special gift for that veteran in your life?? Now is the time to order the engraved bricks to be installed at the Veterans Freedom Park, before Memorial Day. You have your choice of where the brick is placed within the war eras, or the entrance of the park. We only purchase bricks once a year with an order deadline of March 31, 2026. Buying a brick is the one gift that truly keeps on giving. This is a permanent way to honor your veterans and their sacrifices to this country. This is a great way to permanently honor thier service to this great nation! 🇺🇸

This will help educate our students and the public on the sacrifices that our nation’s heroes continue to give for our freedom. We have the ability to seat hundreds of people for our events, with a permanent staging system and a black granite ‘Wall of Tears’ that has the names of our casualties of war engraved from: Clare, Gladwin, Isabella and Midland Counties. This park is a work in progress and we need your help to add statues to our war eras and the daily maintenance cost to keep the park open. This is done entirely by donations and fundraisers. We hold two big fundraisers a year. The first one is the Freedom 5k run/walk held the last Saturday every April in honor of our most recent casualty of the Iraq war; and all those that have given the ultimate sacrifice to this great nation. We also host a golf outing to be held each year at various golf courses. There is an ongoing brick paver campaign for those engraved bricks that will are installed into our walk way; throughout this park that will be visible all year round.
