At 19, Airman 1st Class Isis Edwards made a move that’s shaping her future in a big way.
A drill-status Guardsman with the Vermont Air National Guard, A1C Edwards balances service with school as she works in the Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) office while earning her bachelor’s degree in Studies in War and Peace at Norwich University.
Thanks to education benefits, she’s received tuition support, flexible training that fits her class schedule and 28 college credits toward her degree. Now, as she heads into her final year, she’s already gaining real-world legal experience and setting her sights on law school and a future as a JAG Officer.
For A1C Edwards, the path to preparedness, purpose and opportunity runs through the Guard.
