📚 The League Learning Academy is returning this fall with another new learning track!

The League Learning Academy provides dynamic and accessible training programs tailored for local elected and appointed officials, as well as key municipal staff. The program’s mission is to strengthen municipal leadership, enhance governance practices, and inspire meaningful community engagement.

This year, we're excited to introduce a NEW Public Safety Learning Track, bringing the League Learning Academy to four specialized tracks:
✅ Public Safety
✅ Management
✅ Administrative
✅ Finance

The new Public Safety track equips leaders with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively oversee public safety systems, make informed governance decisions, manage risk and help build safe, resilient communities.

With flexible, modular courses and live virtual training accessible statewide, there's something for both new and experienced municipal officials and staff.

🏛️ Legislative Update

HB 2109, commonly known as the "Golden Girls" legislation, is scheduled to come before the House today for final passage.

The bill was amended last week to allow a local limitation on occupancy to five individuals in a single dwelling based on demonstrated health and safety reasons or based on individuals being matriculated college students.
