The Office of Victim Advocate (OVA) is the state office with the duty and authority to advocate for the individual and collective rights and needs of crime survivors. We accomplish our mission through victim services, which includes notifications of offender status; restorative justice programs that promote resilience and healing; and we are currently developing new initiatives around crime prevention.

This isn't just a walk. Its a show of support for child survivors and the Children's Advocacy Centers (CAC's) that help them move forward after abuse.

CAC's provide a safe space where children can be heard, supported, and begin to heal.

The 6th Annual SHINE Walk is happening Friday, September 18 at 11am in Harrisburg. Not local to Harrisburg? You can still join virtually!! We want EVERYONE to join!

This walk supports Children's Advocacy Centers across Pennsylvania. CAC's are places where children can find a safe space to be heard, receive support, and begin healing after abuse.
