We're looking for community members who are passionate about birds, nature, conservation, and community engagement. The committee meets every six weeks to discuss and coordinate initiatives that support our Bird Town designation, including monthly bird walks during spring and fall migration seasons, educational programs, habitat improvement projects, and collaboration opportunities with neighboring Bird Town communities.

🌳 This week, you may notice tree inventory crews working throughout the City.

As part of ongoing efforts to care for and grow Harrisburg's urban forest, crews are collecting information about street trees across the city. This inventory helps us better understand the health, condition, and needs of our community's trees so we can make informed decisions about maintenance, planting, and long-term tree care.

If you see workers along streets, sidewalks, and parks recording tree information, they're helping build a healthier, greener Harrisburg for years to come.
