In 2024, HHS formally recommended that the DEA reclassify ma*****na. Eighteen months later, it remains a Schedule I controlled substance, and medical ma*****na patients continue to face arrest based on trace amounts in their blood. As we enter the new year, we can only hope that meaningful reform finally follows the science.

Pending legislation that will afford some protection to medical ma*****na card holders if passed. Currently any card holder who is lawfully using is at risk of a DUI if stoppped by a LEO. This must change.
