Planning a litter pick-up this fall? Free supplies are available. Events scheduled from September 1 through November 30 receive free trash bags, gloves, and safety vests provided by support from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and PennDOT, as supplies last.

Westmoreland County has been awarded $1.07 million in federal Community Project Funding to be used to build a bridge over the creek to an area where a plant could be built to treat the polluted water from the abandoned Biddle Mine.

Clarion Conservation District installed educational signs on preventing the spread of aquatic invasive species! The signs were placed at five local parks and boat launches.

Financial and other support for the PRISM Pilot Program in NW Pennsylvania is provided by the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts, Inc. through a Landscape Scale Restoration Grant with the Forest Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
