⚡ Pennsylvania families are paying more for electricity—and part of the reason is we're helping foot the bill for energy policies in other states.

Pennsylvania produces reliable energy. But thanks to Gov. Shapiro's regional price cap, we're now sharing costs with states that have shut down power plants and restricted energy production.

The result? Families in Pennsylvania pay higher bills while states like Maryland, Virginia and New Jersey get relief.

That’s the real reason your electric bill is rising. 💡🔌💰

As a proud co-sponsor of Senate Bill 1311, I am committed to strengthening protections for animals across Pennsylvania and holding those who commit serious acts of animal cruelty accountable. This legislation would establish an animal abuse registry to help prevent convicted abusers from obtaining additional animals and provide greater transparency for shelters, rescues, and adopters.

As a co-chair of the bipartisan Pennsylvania Animal Protection Caucus, I continue to work with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to advance commonsense policies that promote animal welfare, support responsible pet ownership, and give a stronger voice to those who cannot speak for themselves.
