Join us tomorrow at the State Employees Combined Appeal (SECA) kick off event in Soldiers and Sailors Grove (behind the Capitol). At our booth located on the Finance Building side we will be selling homemade peanut butter eggs from 11:00 to 2:00. Also from 11:30 to 12:00 LBFC Executive Director Chris Latta will be in the dunk tank! All proceeds will go to our agency’s SECA contribution.

Yesterday, LBFC released one report titled: Act 1 of 2026: A Performance Audit of the Access to Justice Account." Our report included eight recommendations to improve the collection of Access to Justice funding and the delivery of services.

On Wednesday, June 10, the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee Officers will meet at 8:45 AM to vote on adopting HR 66, a resolution directing the LBFC, in consultation with taxonomists, biologists, and other interested persons, to conduct a study and issue a report on the management of wild native terrestrial invertebrates.

The full committee will then meet at 9:00 AM to vote on the release of the Act 1 (Access to Justice) report.

On Wednesday, May 6, the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee Officers will meet at 8:45 AM to vote on adopting SR 211, directing the LBFC to conduct a study and issue a report on the effectiveness of the Municipal Planning Code.

The full committee will then meet at 9:00 AM to vote on the release of the Senate Resolution 27 report (the feasibility of a birth-related neurological injury fund).
