It was an honor to be with friends today at the West Shore-Harrisburg Elks Lodge 9/11 event. We gathered to remember the lives lost and to honor the heroes who answered the call to serve our nation after unimaginable tragedy.

Col. Paul Abel, U.S. Army (Ret.), who was at the Pentagon on 9/11, delivered a powerful keynote address.

Tomorrow marks 25 years since the terrorist attacks of 9/11.

When I think back to that day, I remember the anger, the sadness, and the shock — but I also remember the resolve of the American people coming together.

As we reflect on the tragic loss of nearly 3,000 lives and the countless others impacted in the years since, let us come together as a nation in unity, thanking God for the brave men and women who have defended freedom both here and around the world.

DO NOT CALL UPDATE: Legislation enacting stronger protections from deceptive telemarketing practices will take effect on October 19.

Under Act 47 of 2026, Pennsylvania’s telemarketing law will now cover modern forms of solicitation, including text messages, voicemails, ringless voicemails and robocalls. It also establishes stronger rules for when and how telemarketers can contact Pennsylvanians.

Veterans in the 34th Senate District are invited to my annual Veterans Appreciation Breakfast on Saturday, Oct. 24!

The free breakfast will be held from 8-10 a.m. at the Carlisle Expo Center and feature guest speaker Maj. Gen. John R. Pippy, Adjutant General of Pennsylvania.

Local veterans’ organizations and various government agencies will also be on hand providing veterans and their families with helpful details about the services, benefits, and programs available to support them.
