Today, we remember September 11, 2001.

We mourn the nearly 3,000 lives lost and hold their families, loved ones, and all those forever impacted by that day in our hearts.

In the days and weeks following the attacks, The Salvation Army was there alongside first responders, recovery workers, survivors, and communities—providing meals, refreshments, emotional and spiritual care, and a compassionate presence during an unimaginable time.

As we look back at these photos, we remember the lives lost, the heroes who stepped forward, and the countless acts of kindness and service that followed.

Today, we pause to remember. We will never forget.
