Our Horizons Beam Teams have been busy greeting visitors as they enter the building and providing laptops, cleaning supplies and hygiene items to program participants at the Resource Desk, and serving meals as well! They are an indispensable part of our program, offering a warm smile, a friendly greeting, and a genuine enthusiasm that makes others feel seen and valued. We are deeply grateful for the time, care, and dedication they give to our community.

Who doesn't love a pizza and ice cream party? 🍕🍦LHM Foundation's Horizons program participants certainly do!

We celebrated the end of summer and start of the school year with a delicious pizza party and a visit from an ice cream truck, sponsored by a generous donor. Everyone joined in on the fun, enjoying good food, sweet treats, and each other's company.

What a fantastic way to wrap up the summer! ☀️

Homelessness is rising among young people in Dauphin County. From 2024 to 2025, the total number of unhoused people under the age of 25 increased by 6.9%, with the total number of overall homeless people between the ages of 18-24 increasing by 17.6%. Of those overall homeless under the age of 25 in 2025, nearly 27% were unaccompanied youth – in other words, these young people are on their own, without the support of a family unit.

🏠 Behind all of these numbers are young people in our community who deserve a safe place to call home! LHM Foundation’s Horizons transitional housing program is designed to support people in need throughout all stages of life. For more information, visit lhm-foundation.org/horizons.

LHM Foundation was proud – and grateful – to be one of the 162 nonprofit organizations across the globe to be supported by Baker Tilly’s Month of Giving in August! Staff from the company’s Lancaster office “adopted” a shift at LHM Foundation’s Horizons Resource Desk on Mondays throughout the month.

Baker Tilly employees enthusiastically greeted everyone entering the building, helped our Horizons transitional housing program participants sign out available resources, and answered the phones at the Resource Desk.

🎆 Light Up Horizons! 🎆

LHM Foundation is seeking sponsors for each of the 58 resident units within our Horizons transitional housing program!

So far, 31 generous individuals and businesses have sponsored a room – thank you to these generous donors, who help LHM Foundation offer dignity, stability, and support as Horizons program participants work toward secure housing.

There are still 27 resident units waiting to be lit, and we need your help to light all 58! Room sponsorships are available at the individual support ($10,000) and family support ($25,000) levels.
