I was honored to return a Ruptured Duck lapel pin to the family of Earl F. Detweiler Jr., a Luzerne County native. Detweiler was a WWII Veteran and Purple Heart recipient, who lost a leg while fighting in Europe.

Thank you, Rep. Jim Haddock for joining us and sharing your personal history with the Detweiler family.

I’m praying for everyone impacted by today’s explosion at the Dairy Farmers of America plant in Lawrence County. I’m deeply grateful to the first responders and emergency crews who acted so quickly, and I’m keeping the injured workers and their families in my thoughts and prayers as they recover. In difficult moments like these, Pennsylvania communities come together to support one another, and today is no exception.
