Now Hiring: Part-Time Park Attendant

Roane County is seeking a motivated and dependable individual to help keep our parks and recreational areas clean, safe, and welcoming for the community. This position plays a key role in maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of our public spaces and includes a variety of outdoor tasks to ensure our parks are ready for visitors to enjoy.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness by emptying trash and picking up litter, performing basic landscaping such as mowing, trimming, and w**d removal, assisting with the upkeep of playgrounds, trails, picnic areas, and parking lots, opening and closing park facilities, cleaning and restocking restrooms and shelters, supporting park events and seasonal maintenance tasks, and reporting maintenance needs while ensuring safety standards are met.

Experience in maintenance, landscaping, or facility care is preferred but not required. This is a great opportunity to serve your community while working in a beautiful outdoor environment!

The splash pad will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday this week then will close for the season. We look forward to seeing everyone back at the splash pad next season!

Our splash pad at the Roane County Park will be open exclusively on weekends for the rest of the season. Swing by on Saturdays and Sundays to wrap up the summer season at the splash pad!

UPDATE: The Splash Pad is back up and running!

Due to a maintenance issue, the Roane County Splash Pad will be closed until further notice. We know how much our community enjoys this space, especially with the nice weather tomorrow, and we’re working to get it back up and running as quickly as possible!

The replacement part is scheduled to arrive Monday, and we’ll provide updates as soon as repairs are complete and the splash pad is ready to reopen.
