Village of Harrietta

Village of Harrietta The Village of Harrietta is located in the middle of the Manistee National Forest. Cherries aren't your thing? Well blueberries are Harrietta's!

Harrietta boasts a great park for children, nature trails, a local Post Office, and is within 5 minutes of the Caberfea Ski Resort. It's a midway point for all the best of Northern Michigan, but far enough out of the bigger towns that you can see the Milky Way on a clear night. Harrietta is a great location to commute to various events throughout the year, such as the Mesick Mushroom Festival (spr

ing), the National Cherry Festival and Manistee Forest Festival (summer), the Blueberry Festival (fall, right in downtown Harrietta), and is great for local hunting and fishing. Visit the various beaches close and far: for swimming, boating, rafting, even ice fishing. Along the way, stop at the many hiking and biking trails--or snow mobile trails in the winter. Sleeping Bear Dunes is not far if you'd like to try climbing the vast sandy hills. Traverse City, being the National Cherry Capital, is overflowing with orchards of fresh cherries--some you can pick yourself! Blueberry fields are a short drive out of downtown. If indoor activities are more your speed, the downtown areas of the surrounding towns (Cadillac, Traverse City, Manistee, Lake City, Suttons Bay, and many more) are full of great shopping, museums, libraries, local entertainment, and good eats!
