🎨🧑‍🎨 You've probably noticed this site near Valley International Airport, which serves as a grid-scale energy storage facility, helping store electricity when demand is low and releasing it back to the grid when demand is high.

In case you missed it, East Point Energy is seeking artists to help turn the exterior wall of their facility into a large-scale public art piece for the community!

The company is now accepting proposals for a new mural that will serve as a visual landmark, reflecting innovation, movement, and forward-thinking design.

The application deadline is Monday, June 29, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. East Point Energy will review all submissions and select the final design.

What a lunch! This month’s Plate it Forward at Chyann's Specialty Café/ was our biggest yet with nearly 30 attendees. 🐷✨🥪 Local leaders, business professionals, and community members gathered for delicious food, great conversations, and a shared commitment to supporting a Harlingen business.

On behalf of our Small Business Advisory Committee, thank you for making the effort to join us yesterday. We’re grateful for the growing momentum and already looking forward to the next one.

Welcome to Harlingen, Broosters! 🐔✨🍔 What started as a dream has grown into a new home in our Industrial Park with a menu featuring fresh coffee, biscuits, bowls, burritos, and more to keep our workforce fueled throughout the day.

Last October, owner Perla Navarro was awarded $20,000 through our RISE Up Harlingen Business Pitch Competition. Funds helped support everything from the purchase of new kitchen equipment to a fresh wrap for their food truck. With meals prepared in the commercial kitchen and drinks served from the truck, they're bringing quality options closer to the hard workers keeping our local economy moving. And this is just the beginning... stay tuned for what's to come. 👀

We're proud to have played a small part in this journey and look forward to watching their business continue to grow. Be sure to stop by, grab a bite, and show them support!
