Our 5th grade students and families worked together to create posters promoting kindness, inclusion, and making everyone feel welcome! 🫶🏼

This project helped bring our monthly character focus to life while encouraging our students to help build a positive and welcoming school community.

Way to go, 5th grade! 🐝✨ We can’t wait to see what next month’s goal brings!

Yesterday, Mr. Perez’s 1st grade scholars learned how authors use digital tools to write stories! They took a deep dive into neighborhoods as they began planning their very own stories. 🏡📚✨

We can’t wait to see where their creativity takes them! Way to go, 1st grade! 🐝💙💛

Yesterday, Mrs. Ybarra’s 5th grade ELA scholars loved using Nearpod to explore their Weekly Question: What can scientists discover by traveling to distant places?”🤩💭

🎉 All IDEA Harlingen families are invited to Noche Mexicana! 🇲🇽 Join us Wednesday, September 16, from 5:00–7:00 PM in the IDEA Harlingen Gym for an afternoon filled with delicious food, games, activities, and family fun! Enjoy a special performance by IHCP’s band, Vespera.

Admission is FREE, and concessions will be available for purchase—cash only. Come hungry because all proceeds will directly benefit the 10th grade field lesson out of state! We can’t wait to celebrate with our Hornet community! 💙💛🐝
