WE ARE HIRING!
HFD is now accepting applications for one (1) Career Firefighter position.
Annual base salary (estimated): $47,500 (not including built-in and additional overtime, training, or holiday pay). Final pay rate may be determined by a candidate’s experience and certification level.
This position will work a 24 hour on, 48 hour off schedule with included built in overtime.
Position Description:
This position is responsible for responding to various emergency situations, including fires, traffic accidents, medical emergencies, and hazardous materials incidents. Duties will include fire suppression, search and rescue, apparatus driving and pumping, and emergency medical care, as well as cleaning/inspection of equipment, data entry, routine maintenance/repair, and community outreach.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Georgia Class F driver’s license
- Georgia State Certified Firefighter
- Emergency Medical Responder certification (EMT certification or higher preferred)
