Mitch Alford for Harlan Co Judge Executive

Mitch Alford for Harlan Co Judge Executive I’m running for Harlan County Judge Executive to give back to the community I love.

With my law enforcement experience and dedication to service, I’ll work to build a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Harlan County for all.

Folks, I have said this from the beginning. I prayed and asked God that if this was meant to be, and if it was good for me and my family, then let it happen. And if I’m meant for something bigger, then let that happen too. Because of that, I cannot be discouraged or down tonight.

I ran a clean race. I did not attack anyone, even when others pushed me to. I want to thank each and every person who believed in me, took the time to talk to me, supported me, and gave me encouragement along the way. I hope I impressed some folks and showed them who I truly am.

I care deeply about this county. I have always volunteered, tried to help those in need when I came across them, and I still go to work every day serving the public. This campaign did not change me or make me someone I’m not. I’m still me, the same person I’ve always been.

Hopefully, some folks who didn’t know me before now know me a little better, and I’ve earned more respect across this county. No matter what, I’m still here for you, Harlan County.

Thank you for making me feel at peace tonight

We have to make sure our citizens are heard and feel that they are part of our government.

Let’s prioritize our citizens.

When disasters happen, I have always shown up. I have the experience, training, and leadership needed to help Harlan County respond, recover, and move forward together. Our people deserve someone who will be there in difficult moments, ready to work and ready to lead.

We need to create an environment for our youth to succeed in this county; our future depends on our youth carrying the torch for the next generation.

A question that has been asked many times throughout my campaign is about EMS, and I wanted to share my thoughts on that. Our EMS workers are wonderful people who work hard every single day, and many of the challenges they face are outside of their control.

We have to make sure we are being proactive, creative, and willing to explore every option available to improve response times and strengthen emergency services in our county. The safety and well being of our citizens must always remain a top priority.

I believe that starts with listening to our first responders, working together as a community, and finding practical solutions that support both our EMS personnel and the people they serve.

Folks, today is the final day of early voting. I have received so many messages of support and encouragement, and I am truly grateful. Thank you for believing in me. Your kindness, prayers, and confidence mean more than words can express. God bless each and every one of you.
