Let's come by the Homeplace on Sunday, 1 - 5 PM. On 11/20/22 @ 3:00 PM and listen to living history presentors talk about facts as to what happened to Lt General Jubal A Early and the Joplin Family after the War Between the States. Share any facts of interest you may have researched!

Southern history tells us so much by sharing, that our ancestors found it unimportant to talk about. For them everyone had a story and now, finally, we are anxious to listen.

Come to the Jubal A Early Homeplace and connect with others who are excited to learn. Visit with a Governess and Mr. Joplin!! Spend some time... open your imagination to history!! Before it is gone !!!!!

On November 21st beginning at 1:00 pm the Friends of Jubal Early will be decorating the Homeplace for the holidays. Guests will be welcomed from 1-5 pm by James Ware Joplin portrayed by Sam Winkler and his wife Emily Booth Joplin portrayed by Mary Houseman who moved into the Early plantation in 1847. The Early plantation was bought by Emily’s brother Moses Booth in 1847. The Joplin’s special guest will be the governess to their children portrayed by Ann Turner.
Beginning at 2:00 pm educational talks surrounding The first Christmas tree, children’s toys and the meaning of the hanging of the greens will begin.
