Shoutout to our amazing JROTC Raider Team cadets who gave it their all at the Central Hardin Raider Competition last weekend! Pushing through grueling heat takes serious grit, and we couldn't be prouder of their effort and determination (and yes, safety was the top priority every step of the way!).

What you don't see in these photos is all the incredible work that happened behind the scenes. Long before stepping onto the course, these cadets took full ownership of their preparation—handling everything from safety guidelines and logistics to financial planning, nutrition, and intense physical training.

Breckinridge County Schools will be in session today, Thursday, September 10th.

Thanks to the swift and diligent work of our law enforcement officers, who worked through the night, the subject causing the safety concern has been taken into custody, resolving the situation safely.

The safety of our students, staff, and community is always our number one priority. We are deeply grateful to our local law enforcement agencies for their dedication to keeping our community safe. We look forward to seeing our students today.

Superintendent, Dr. Nick Carter announces that normal school operations will take place Thursday, September 10, 2026.

As the situation within the city limits of Irvington has yet to be resolved and remains potentially dangerous in that area, Breckinridge County Schools will be closed today, Wednesday, September 9th. The city of Irvington remains in a shelter in place at this time.

Due to a dangerous situation within the city limits of Irvington, Breckinridge County Schools will be on a two hour delay today, Wednesday, September 9th.

The City of Irvington is in a Shelter in Place and the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office has asked everyone within the limits to stay inside. More information will be shared as it becomes available.

Congratulations and good luck!

Congratulations to Lady Tiger Senior, Adelynn Moorman who qualified for the KY All-State Tournament. Points were tallied from top ten placements all year long and the top golfers in the state qualified the two day tournament which will be held in Lexington this weekend. Adelynn will tee off at 10:36am Saturday at Big Blue Golf Course. Sunday’s tee time will be determined after first round of play!

Congratulations to Lemuel Wright for back to back seasons qualifying as an individual for the Kentucky High School All-State Tournament! The Tournament will be held Saturday September 12th and Sunday September 13th at the University Club of Kentucky in Lexington.
