🌪️ Tornado Watch in Effect Until 2:00 AM
A Tornado Watch has been issued for our area until 2:00 AM. This means conditions are favorable for tornadoes and severe storms to develop.
🌬️ However, Tonight’s primary threat is strong, damaging winds, which can bring down trees, power lines, and cause flying debris.
Wind Precautions:
• Secure or bring inside outdoor furniture, trash cans, decorations, and other loose items
• Park vehicles away from trees if possible
• Be prepared for possible power outages
• Avoid travel during the strongest storms if possible
Now is the time to stay weather aware and prepared.
⚠️ Precautions to take tonight:
📱 Have multiple ways to receive weather warnings (weather radio, phone alerts, local media)
🏠 Know your safe place – basement or interior room on the lowest floor away from windows
🔦 Keep a flashlight, shoes, and your phone nearby in case power is lost
🌬️ Secure outdoor items that could blow around in strong winds
🚗 Avoid unnecessary travel during storms if possible
⏰ Storms are expected to occur overnight, when people are often asleep, so having reliable alert methods is especially important.
We will continue monitoring conditions and will provide updates if warnings are issued. Stay safe and stay alert.
