Over the past couple of weeks some of our members have been hard at work updating our Station 1. Thank you to volunteers Jerry Martin, Nathan Smith, and Jason Thomas for putting down the new epoxy coating in the bays, and striping the front pad. We think it turned out great!

Now that the dust has settled on the 7th Battle of the Badges, we wanted to shout a huge thank you to everyone involved. There are so many people to thank for helping us pull off another successful event.

Thank you to all the folks who volunteered to plan, set up the event, work all the various jobs, cheer, and clean up. We couldn’t do it without you.

Thank you to all of the police officers and firefighters that played, the announcers, bookkeepers, scorekeepers, and referees.

Thank you to our half time entertainment, the dance/cheerleaders and Josh Mitcham: Music and Art for putting on an awesome show.

Last but not least, thank you to all the fans that showed up and cheered on your favorite team, bought concessions and silent auction items, and made the night a blast.

Because of this great community we were able to raise over $13,000 for the WHAS Crusade for Children!

Oh, and I guess a congratulations is in order for the Police Department for bringing home the trophy this year! Hardinsburg Police Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office Irvington Police Department

See this guy? This guy goes above and beyond.

Not only by just doing a good job; but by, reportedly, helping a motorist trying to get to work out of a snow bank.

I bet this guy lives in Breck Co; cause around here we take care of our own; specially when its super cold.

Please check on your neighbors — especially the elderly and those with medical needs or you don't see them out when you normally do.

Disclaimer: It might not have been this exact plow driver; but it was one on the south side of the county for sure.
