Big thanks to the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel for supporting our Peer 2 Peer program with a mini-grant!

P2P is an inclusive program that pairs students with disabilities with their general education peers to foster social growth, mentorship, and a supportive school community. Next year, we are very excited that P2P is transitioning into an official class, and we will use this transition to launch a Friday coffee and drink cart for our staff.

This project will serve as a hands-on learning lab where students can gain crucial life skills such as perseverance, money management, organization, and customer service. By managing the cart, students will build the confidence and practical experience necessary to be more employable in the future.

This grant is instrumental in helping us secure the initial materials—such as the cart itself and other basic supplies—to get this initiative off the ground. We are incredibly grateful for the support in making this vision a reality for our students.
