Attention Hanover Township residents NOPEC customers. Please see the letter below from NOPEC in regards to electric customers
I wanted to share with you and your residents and small businesses important information about our electricity pricing and upcoming enrollment mailing.
For our anniversary enrollment mailing being sent to all current and newly eligible NOPEC electric customers in your community starting in early April, the initial price for our Standard Program product for Ohio Edison/The Illuminating Company customers for the three-month period from the June through August 2026 meter read dates will be 9.999 cents/kWh. That price is forecasted to be well below the utility's Standard Service Offer (SSO) pricing over that period.
For those customers that prefer even longer periods of predictable pricing, we will be refreshing our fixed term product prices as well. These prices are in line – and largely below – what is currently being offered on the Apples-to-Apples shopping website and come without the hidden charges and strings attached to many retail offers. Meaning your residents and small businesses can enjoy the peace of mind that NOPEC’s product variety, flexibility, no early termination charges, and no risk terms provide for up to 2 years! And they can take advantage of these competitive rates by simply calling NOPEC’s Customer Care Center at 855-667-3201, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

2026 Anniversary Enrollment Mailing
NOPEC is required by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) to send enrollment letters to all current and newly- eligible electric customers every three years. Starting in early April, eligible residents and small businesses in your community will begin receiving this enrollment packet which provides details about the aggregation program, NOPEC’s Standard Program Price, other available rate options, and instructions on how to enroll or opt-out of the aggregation program.
Current customers already enrolled in NOPEC’s Standard Program Price option, and those that want to join NOPEC, do not need to take any action. They will automatically be enrolled in NOPEC’s Standard Program Price option at the above-stated price for the period beginning with customers’ June 2026 meter read dates. If consumers do not wish to participate in NOPEC’s electric aggregation, they must notify NOPEC by following the opt-out instructions included in their enrollment letter.
As always, we sincerely appreciate your continued support of NOPEC and your assistance in informing and educating your residents and businesses about the benefits and protections enrollment in NOPEC provides. To that end, attached is a graphic announcing the new pricing to make it easy to post on your community's website, push out on your social media channels or include in your newsletters. If you have any questions regarding this, or any other NOPEC matters, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Relationship Manager or contact me directly to discuss.
Best Regards,
