The start of a new school year always brings renewed energy, optimism, and excitement to our entire school community. As our students return, they will find countless opportunities to learn, grow, and excel in our classrooms, on our stages and athletic fields, through our Office of Family and Community Engagement offerings, and through the friendships and connections that make coming to school such an important part of their lives.

In an ever-changing world, our schools remain steady, safe, innovative, and exciting places where every student can discover new interests, take on meaningful challenges, realize their potential, and prepare for the future. Our dedicated educators and staff are ready to support, encourage, and inspire students throughout the year ahead.

The accomplishments, character, and commitment of our students and staff continue to be a tremendous source of pride for the entire Hanover community. We are grateful for the support and partnership of our families and community members, who help ensure that our schools are places where students of every age feel a strong sense of belonging, believe in their potential, and have every opportunity to succeed.

Hanover High School student J.J. Molina Parra brought great energy to the Hanover Public Schools Opening Day Convocation on August 26, 2026, with an outstanding performance of “Best Day of My Life” by American Authors. A great way to help kick off the new school year!

Hanover High School seniors Avery Porro and Sophie Frattasio (Class of 2027) did an outstanding job performing “Crowded Table” by The Highwomen at the Hanover Public Schools Convocation on August 26, 2026. Their beautiful performance was a special addition to our opening celebration!

We were excited to welcome Hamish Brewer to Hanover Public Schools today as the keynote speaker at our Opening Convocation! His incredible energy, passion, and powerful message were the perfect way to bring our staff together and kick off the 2026–2027 school year.

Thank you, Hamish, for inspiring us, challenging us, and reminding us of the incredible impact educators have on students each and every day. We truly appreciate you being part of such a special start to the new school year in Hanover!
