Horizon is kicking off our IAR and ISA state testing with a Rock The Test parade! Our younger students made posters and banners and cheered for the 3rd-6th grade students as our “testing rock stars” had a kick off parade today! We also posted positive messages and testing reminders up in the hallways and have a few more surprises this week as we get ready to Rock the Test!! School District U-46

5 Essentials Parent Survey

Each year we ask our families to complete our 5 Essentials Survey. In this survey, you will be asked to provide feedback about your child’s school (Horizon Elementary). Please consider your child’s current experience at school (2025-2026 school year). This survey is designed to help school and district leadership improve their understanding of the parent/school relationship. The Horizon School Improvement Team uses the parent data from this survey to set our goals for the year and to make improvements to our current practices. All responses are completely anonymous. Responses to anonymous surveys cannot be traced back to the respondent. Additionally, your responses will be combined with other parents from your child's school and summarized in a school report to further protect your anonymity. Your participation in this survey is voluntary. This survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete, and we value your contributions.

Congratulations to the Horizon Elementary Kindness Club! They were recognized by the Hanover Township this past week for the work they did with our Horizon Food Drive last month! Horizon had one of the largest donations to the Township this school year! Way to go Kindness club! (Not all members of the Kindness club are pictured, thank you to those who were able to attend). Thank you to our Kindness Club leaders: Mrs. Naccarato, Mrs. Ramirez, and Ms. Martinez!

Today Horizon hosted our 13th annual Day of Honor where we celebrated Veterans. We served our guests breakfast and then our Veterans were able to meet with students and classroom and share their story about their service to our Country. Thank you to our staff, Dennys, Brunch Cafe, and Briana’s Pancakes for providing the wonderful Breakfast.
