Thank you to the Community Foundation Serving West Central Illinois & Northeast Missouri for awarding a 2026 Community Grant to Douglass Community Services. Our CEO, Stephanie Cooper accepted the grant on behalf of our Volunteer Services Program, which supports community volunteers that give their time and talent to Douglass programs.
We are honored to be among the organizations receiving support that will help improve the quality of life across Northeast Missouri and the surrounding region. We appreciate your partnership and commitment to building strong kids, strong families and strong communities with this investment.

Head Start welcomed staff back for the new school year this month at the American Legion in Palmyra. Our employees gathered over three days in August to hear updates, discuss the upcoming school year and participate in professional development. We're excited for the new year and more excited to see our HS children and families in the upcoming weeks!

We're calling on local businesses, churches, schools, clubs, teams, and community groups to help us TACKLE HUNGER by hosting a canned food drive for the DCS Food Pantry!

🥫 Help us stock the shelves for our neighbors.

All DCS Offices, Head Start, Pantry, and Nifty Thrifty will be CLOSED Friday, August 21 for Staff Appreciation Day as we take some time to celebrate the amazing people who make our work possible!
