Teen Night (for incoming 6th-graduated 12th graders) 6:00-7:00 p.m. - Rocks and Minerals Under the Stereoscope
🦖Tuesday: Preschool Story Time (ages 3-5 with siblings welcome) 10:30 a.m. Dinosaur Rubbings
😎🦖🦕Wednesday: KICKOFF Party in Central Park 2:00-4:00 pm. for all ages
Please note: THE LIBRARY WILL CLOSE AT NOON for the kick-off party.

Today is the day you can meet local teen author, Darby Rollins, and hear her read her book, "The Day I Raised My Hand." She will be with us for Family Fun Time beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the Children's Room. The target audience for this program is families with children. We can't wait!

We are so excited to listen to local author Darby Rollins read her book, "The Day I Raised My Hand" to us for Family Fun Time, tomorrow, May 30th at 10:30 a.m. in the Children's Room. She will be here with her book and we will have a small fingerprint art craft available. This program's target audience is families with children. We had an INCREDIBLE first week of summer reading! These number speak for themselves.
Our adults read 78 books.
Read-To-Me kids read 427 books.
Teens and Elementary kids read 319 hours.
So far we have 219 people participating in the program!

Thank you to everyone who came to see us this week and participated in our programs. It's going to be an amazing summer filled with fun!

Quick note regarding today's SNAKES! program. We are so grateful to have Corporal Don Clever of the Missouri Dept. of Conservation donating his time today to give this amazing presentation about Missouri snakes to our summer reading program. We have been notified that Cpl. Clever will need to leave the 2:00 p.m. show a bit earlier for another duty. Both shows will still be amazing, but our afternoon show will run a bit shorter than our morning show. That means we won't have as much time for as many questions this afternoon. We will look forward to seeing you at either show you can attend, we just wanted to make you aware.
